If anyone wonders why the hunt, what this isb all about, what intention drives this pursuit to capture a hare or even another piece of game, nothing will be revealed here. Only in the image and in the repeated encounter does the recognition of the self gradually unfold. One kills, breaks open, cooks and devours it, another simply orders and swallows it, suspecting only faintly after long habit what it might be. But only the one who grasps the essence at its core recognizes – and if it is the hare – what it truly is. This path is not everyone’s taste. Therefore, it still seems meaningful to me and yes, the shoemaker sticks to his last. I have created 1000 hares indeed and each one knows what it means to be hunted. Now I wish every lady and gentleman a merry hunt and say: I know what I hunt for; whoever needs proof may ask.
